One of the main goals of the project is to encourage the re-use of data from the Chamber of Deputies and its integration with other information collections, to promote the production of web applications in order to investigate specific aspects and more than 150 years of parliamentary life.
The APPS of the Chamber of Deputies is a new way to browse through the data stored in the archives of the Chamber: simple, intuitive and creative. Using innovative technologies, interactive web pages were created: they allow the user to re-aggregate data freely, according to their aims of study, taking advantage of the wealth of semantic relations between them and the most innovative Web 2.0 technology, able to transform data published by Portal historic into real full-featured applications.
Below we propose the first apps available.
This is an application that displays an interactive map of the birthplaces of Presidents of the Repubblic, Prime Ministers, Presidents of the Senate and the Chamber of deputies from 1848 until the XV legislature. It is possible to filter the information to narrow the search fields, or view photos of the presidents.
With this application you can browse the results in individual electoral constituencies of the elections for the Chamber of Deputies, to XXIV Parliament of the Kingdom of Italy.
The Portal History of the Chamber of Deputies, the first of all the examples of re-use of Open Data published, integrates the wealth of information and digital documents available to the XV legislature, with a rich multimedia section and five in-depth paths of largely unedited materials.
